CONSEQUENCES OF DRUG ADDICTION ARE DEVASTATING 

Staff reporter Mouri Saha for Dhaka on April 20: Bangladesh is now very dangerous because of drug abuse. A lot of people, mostly young people, are hooked on drugs or products made from opium, like morphine, heroin, marijuana, cocaine, hashish, LSD, and more.

People who are addicted to drugs can be found on the streets, in parks, and even in schools these days. The number of people who are addicted to drugs is slowly going up. Most of them are hooked when they are teenagers. Since they lost their job, they are willing to do anything for a drug. It’s too late for them to see what happens when they become addicted to drugs. They want to break the habit, but they can’t.

If drug users can’t get money to buy drugs, they have broken the law. They act badly around their parents. Terrorists are even made of them. They get money to buy drugs by kidnapping, stealing, or robbing people.

Drugs have terrible effects in the long run. It kills by putting people through terrible pain and suffering.
