An Honest Woodcutter

A woodcutter used to live in a neighbourhood. Because he was poor, he was honest. To get money, he sold wood at the market. One day he was cutting down trees next to a river when his axe fell into the water. Then he went to sit by the river and started crying very hard. Then something really cool happened. The river goddess showed up in front of him. She asked him about his tears. The person who cuts the wood taught her everything. The river god felt bad for him. She went into the river and came back out with a “golden axe.” But the honest woodcutter was not persuaded. He told them that the axe wasn’t his. The goddess again dove into the river and pulled out a silver axe. However, the woodcutter told her that it wasn’t his own axe. The goddess jumped into the water again and pulled out a normal iron. The gods were very pleased with the poor woodcutter because he was honest and dedicated to telling the truth. Thus

The woodcutter got all three axes from her. By selling the gold and silver axes in the market, he made a lot of money and became very rich. This made him start living a happy life.

She went into the river and came back out with a “golden axe.” She asked, “Is that his axe?” The woodcutter replied in a bad way. After that, she went back into the water and came out with a silver one. This time too, the woodcutter said no to taking it. She finally pulled out the woodcutter’s axe. The woodcutter was thrilled to get his iron axe back. After being happy with the woodcutter, the river goddess gave him two more valuable knives as a reward.
